Blue
Willow is a quaint, English style cottage, bedecked with bowers of climbing
roses and clematis. Set in a quiet, pretty garden, it's a labour of love
by John and Arlene England. The rooms are pleasantly furnished with lots
of romantic puffs, pillows duvets and laces.... Breakfast is served on
a substantial pine table, with matching furnishings beside lace-trimmed
windows. The meal - served on Blue Willow pattern of course, is an utmost
civilized beginning to any day..... If there is an art to running a B&B,
it lies in the hosts' ability to make you feel genuinely at home with
an apparently minimal effort. It's this touch in particular, especially
at breakfast that will guarantee a return to Blue Willow. T. Pawsey, Vancouver Courier |
There is no better place than Qualicum Beach to let the sea air wash strength and renewal into the veins and no better place than Blue Willow to complete the journey of revitalization. If ever there was an enchanted cottage this is it. Hardwood floors, beamed ceilings and leaded glass windows are just a small part of the warmth and coziness of that old world cottage feeling. Lacy white curtains, wreaths of dried flowers, herbs drying over the fireplace, afghans over the floral sofas and books and magazines by the baskets..........
In addition to the guest rooms in the main house there is a separate Bavarian style suite of rooms. It has several fabulous beds and a dining area all decorated in typical Bavarian style. ........you'll get the feeling that you've had a trip abroad with the wonderful decor, delightful hospitality and gourmet breakfast..........
